چکیده

Botrytis cinerea is one of the most important postharvest fungal pathogens causing significant losses in fresh fruits, vegetables and ornamentals. Synthetic fungicides are primarily used to control decay loss, but due their hazardous use recent trend shifting toward safer more eco-friendly alternatives. The antagonistic microorganisms becoming popular throughout world. This study investigated antifungal, plant growth promoting activities identity volatile organic compounds (VOCs) produced by tomato-derived endophytic bacteria strains. capacity selected strains prevent B. infection on tomato fruit through VOCs soluble was also studied. A collection 50 bacterial established from different organs plants sampled six localities Cape Bon region (Tunisia). Despite small geographical scale, complexity abundance communities varied greatly according site origin. Healthy harbor diverse Bacillus Enterobacter genera colonizing mainly leaves with a enrichment vitro dual culture assays showed that 36 % produce antifungal against cinerea. To our knowledge, this first report activity nakamurai, pseudomycoides, proteolyticus, thuringiensis, E. asburiae cloacae About 14 specific effects seedling length or biomass production. five core set seven along strain-specific known such as 3-Methylbutan-1-ol, sulfur-containing compounds, 2-Heptanone Dodecanal. Tomato bio-protection assay strain TR1 produces protective 3-Methylbutan-1-ol major compound which totally suppressed at 0.442 mL L?1 headspace, whereas better protection when applied vegetative cells fruit. These results support potential biocontrol agents reduce cinerea, well promising apply during commercialization

The Biocontrol Efficacy of Streptomyces pratensis LMM15 on Botrytis cinerea in Tomato

LMM15, an actinomycete with broad spectrum antifungal activity, was isolated from a diseased tomato leaf using the baiting technique. A phylogenetic tree analysis based on similarity percentage of 16S rDNA sequences showed that the bacterium was 97.0% affiliated with the species Streptomyces pratensis. This strain was therefore coded as S. pratensis LMM15. The ferment filtrate of LMM15 had abil...

Isolation, identification, and biocontrol of antagonistic bacterium against Botrytis cinerea after tomato harvest

Tomato is one of the most important vegetables in the world. Decay after harvest is a major issue in the development of tomato industry. Currently, the most effective method for controlling decay after harvest is storage of tomato at low temperature combined with usage of chemical bactericide; however, long-term usage of chemical bactericide not only causes pathogen resistance but also is harmf...

Biocontrol of Botrytis Cinerea on Strawberry Fruit by Plant Growth Promoting Bacteria

In the present study, a total of 186 bacterial strains isolated from various soil sources and plant species from Eastern Anatolia region in Turkey were evaluated for their ability to suppress gray mold (Botrytis cinerea Pers. ex Fr.) occurred on strawberry cv. Fern. Among 186 bacterial strains, 36 were found effective to inhibit of development B. cinerea under in vitro conditions, and thirteen ...
